About This Event

Join us for a hands-on knife sharpening class with local artisan Clancy Ward, known for his craftsmanship and expertise in hand-sharpening knives using traditional wet stone techniques. Whether you’re a home cook or a culinary enthusiast, this class will give you the confidence and skills to keep your kitchen blades in peak condition.

You’ll learn:

How to assess blade condition and angle
Step-by-step wet stone sharpening techniques
Maintenance tips to extend your knife’s life

All participants are encouraged to bring one or two kitchen knives to sharpen during the class.

Knife Sharpening Class – Parking and Entry Instructions

We’re excited to welcome you to the Knife Sharpening Class at the Zenith DCHS Apartments on Wednesday, May 8th at 6:00 PM! To make sure everyone can easily find their way, please review the following instructions:

Parking: Please find street parking in the surrounding area.
Entry: Head to the 3rd Street entrance—this is outlined clearly in the visual guides provided.

Group Entry:

Non-resident attendees will be allowed into the building as a group at 5:45 PM at the 3rd Street entrance.
A team member will greet the group and walk everyone together to the workshop.

If You Arrive After 5:45 PM:

Go to the 3rd Street entrance.
Locate the call box to the left of the door.
Press the "Visitor Pass" button and enter code: 637652.
This code works only between 5:45 PM and 6:30 PM on May 8th, 2025.

Directions Once Inside: Follow the red path shown on the visual maps to head downstairs into The Workshop.

Important: Please stay on the outlined route, do not wander the building, and be mindful that Zenith is a residential community.
